IPInfusion interview question



We heartily thanks to one of our visitor/follower, for sharing his valuable experience with Q4Interview. We are sharing the same with you.

Technical Round
===============
1. Write the code to count the number of nodes in Linked List, Write a code in such a way that It run without any warning.
2. Write the code to reverse the linklist. 
3. write the code to find the middle node in linklist. 
4. What is volatile variable. and how to use it. 
5. Write you own strcpy functionality program. 
6. Write the code to recursively print the fibonacci sequence of numbers.
7. Now question start from resume, I will suggest be prepare well for all things what you are mentioning in your resume. I had most of the question from there only. 

HR round
========

After couple of days I had HR interview. 
As per me it was interesting and friendly questions. Some question I am mentioning here. 
1. why IpInfusion. 
2. Why you are looking for change. 
3. Some question from academic background. like reason for 1 year gap etc. Again question get raised from what you have mention in resume.

Kindly find the same,the questions that were asked during my interview with IP Infusion.I am not able to recall all the questions but sharing those which I can recall as of now.

1. How ECFM packet looks like ?

2. VLAN ID how many bytes? what are all the bytes?

3. Suppose packet enters on NIC card,how it reaches the application running on the system ?

4. How many bytes is IPv4 and IPv6 address ?

Instead of taking multiple rounds, As per my knowledge IP Infusion took only one round, and touch all of the area.
First they will start throwing question from the area in which you are comfortable,and then they will toggle in topics.
Allow me to share my friend experience and Interview process for exp person.
The below question may be depend upon panel to panel and as per technology.

1.a Introduce yourself.
    b. role in each project.
2. In which area you are more comfortable i.e layer 2 or layer 3.
3. Have you worked on any broadcom chipset.
4. pkt flow in broadcom.

5. how l2 table maintain, what data structure used to maintain.
6. what is IPC, do you know the implementation of pipe,
7. what is basic difference between pipe and fifo.
8 what is difference between linklist and tree.
9. Do you know the RB tree, write program for it.
10.a.  Explain packet flow from host H1 to H2. port 1 and 2 are in port channel .
     b. you have to explain pkt structure at each step from H1 to H2.
     c. how pkt distribution take place.
     d.  what is marker, explain the state machine.
      e. Do you know the D-Lag.
